I am having a problem when I try to play historical leagues. Every time I try and use this option I get "Cannot create the file"! It doesn't matter what year I chose! Anybody else have this problem? I did get it to work once for 1955 (the default). But whenever I tried it again with a different year, no luck and same freaking message! HELP!!!

Are you certain of the place where you have the database located? That is the usual problem with this type of error.

Lahman Data Base problems
Hi --
>Yep, C:\Stats I hope this isn't too obvious, but if it's on your C drive, I think you have to put the whole path down. For example, I downloaded the Negro League database onto my hard drive, and I have to write C:\program files\ootp4\negroleague before I can import any players from that database. I know when you're trying to download a season, it says, "Example, C:\stats." But if the data base is in another folder, you have to put that in the path as well. Again, probably too obvious -- but it's possible that it's one of those things that's so obvious it got overlooked. |
