Will the NHL be part of your Fictional World?

I plan to cherry pick teams and place them in my custom leagues. I will try to keep certain rivals together in the same league.

If possible,I will place the real players on their original teams but will spread them out mostly with fictional teams.

If expansion works correctly, i'll probably start with a 16 or 20 team leagues (=to NHL and AHL) with fake players, then expand over the years to 28. I've had locations and team names picked for months now.
Part of me just wants to be commish, and not manage any team.

I wish I knew how the expansion will work.

My plan is taking real team names for the following leagues:

Western Canada Senior Hockey League
Quebec Senior Hockey League
Eastern Professional Hockey League
Maritime Professional Hockey League

That were playing from the 1930-1970's, having a 36 team with 4 conferance, there was a about 50 team to choose from, some lasting only a 1/4 of a season before folding. The tough part is/was trying to find logos for the teams.

Thanks to the hockey encyclopedia vol.1 & vol.2 it gives u all the league that played from the late 1890's until early 2000, with there team names & when they folded.
