changed portraits only showing on some screens

When I find a player with a tab that says "real life stats" I know he's a real player and I go look up on baseball reference where I can usually find a photo. I save the image to the right folder and then in the game I can have the player's screen up and choose pictures > import photo file. Then I find the image and load it up, and it works, no problem. For one of my own players, it really was no problem, but when I did this with another team's player, it worked except that when I enter a game where my team plays against that player, the portrait for that opposing player reverts back to the old face-gen image. But when I view the player again outside of the game, his face is showing the image I want. What's going on? Also, the picture import option appears to be gone when I view the player's screen during a game. I'm sure this is known and "not a bug" but it's pretty annoying because I replace the portraits on an "as needed" basis, meaning when a player comes up in a game that I haven't seen before that has real life stats, I want to replace his picture there. The way it works now, I have to finish the game and then remember to find the player afterward to replace his image... not a logical process at all. Playing in 1873, AAA league currently, so almost all the players are fictional, but there are a few real ones in there.

This is a result of the new 'away uniforms' feature, for some reason it will update the home pictures but not the away pictures if a facegen is created . If the player facegen has already been created in the game to use the away uniform it is still in the OOTP14/saved games/*yoursavedfilename*/news/html/images/person_pictures folder. You have to put yourself in commissioner mode go to that players profile and click the 'edit' tab to find the PLAYER ID number. Go to the folder in the location previously mentioned and find that picture and delete it go back into the game and it will use the correct photo. I do the same thing you do with player photos if there is a real player, and have had to do this numerous times.

Yes, that worked. I also noticed an easier thing to do (which I expect will work) is just go into the settings and make it so that it doesn't generate away uniforms.

Yeah that would completely solve the problem. I leave away uniforms on in my league because I do have fictional players and I like the away uniforms, but it is a pain if you want to update pictures as you go along.

I download my photos at OOTPMODS.com. Move the photos into your Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 14\photos folder and they will load automatically.
