Player Development Question

I play a fictional league and use a short 80 game season format. The league also has three minor leagues (AAA, AA, and A).

Regarding minor league players / prospects, if they are only playing 80 games each season (vs. a typical 162 game season) will they develop half as fast? Or does OOTP adjust for shorter seasons play?

They will develop normally.
