Anyone else find this bug?

I have 3 players, all three I have recently signed, or have another year before free agency, all three to very good deals, all three stars or near stars.
I execute the plan to sign them, and have them be 3 huge chips at the winter meetings given my need to get under budget and make my cheap ass owner happy.
I am at the winter meetings, now day 3, and all three players are unable to be traded due to 'being in a trade already" which none are, or 'near free agency' which none are.
Completely hosed my plans for the winter. I've retried each day to trade them, same answer each day, for each guy.
There are no pending deals, all are signed through next year or longer, I can't move them, can't even get offers.
Any ideas?
Zipped the league .dat and sent it to them, also pinged some folks with the problem, so if they do fix this it'll hopefully reset to day 1 of the winter meetings, but any thoughts as to how to fix this?

nm.....just realized you have tried to move them on multiple dates.....I have never encountered this problem

No, haven't noticed the bug. I'll add this, however. In some past version, I encountered it, and flipping through the trade screen team by team, found the player still hanging in the offer slot on my side, presumably because I never Cleared Offer or such. FWIW you may want to flip through those teams on the offer screen and see if for some strange reason that's happening. Just Initiate Trade and select the other teams one at a time, watching your offered players. They should all be blank, but......

Nice suggestion and I did this, some players on other teams in the slot, guys I had talked about, but none of my guys in the slot.
Am still bugged by the bug that has the contract screen a year 'behind' all the time, has screwed me up more than once.
Shows the remaining years on a deal but never forwards until the new year, which is a big problem if you aren't paying close attention.
Now day 4 of the winter meetings and all three players are still 'hung up'

The bigger issue now is I can't move them at all, other than maybe to release them, they are un-tradeable.

If you are in Commissioner Mode, edit the players, go to the left side of the player editing page about halfway down where the league and team assignments dropdown boxes are, and then use those pulldown menus to move the players to another part of your organization, like say an AA team. I had something like this happen and that fixed it for me. No promises, though.

Nice, did this, took a fan hit when I demoted him But when I 'resigned' him to the IBL roster he again shows as untradeable due to impending FA or being included in a deal.

And I retried, and cannot trade him from AAA either. Wondering if 'cloning' might do it? This is a really weird bug

Wolf, that sounds like a decent workaround. However the important thing we need to be looking for is root of the problem. I visit the forums on a daily basis to see what issues users are having with their game and I must say that the type of issue Curt is having is the first being reported. IF this is a bug then it needs to be reported to Markus so it can be fixed.

Curt, thanks for uploading your league files to us. Along with endgame, I will look into your issue as well. Hopefully one of us can find the problem and let you know what - if anything - you can do about it.

Ya it's a league killer if it can't be fixed. I actually am stuck, already kinda ruined this off seasons as I cannot really progress since I built the winter plans around dealing 2 or all 3 of these guys after signing them.
I have tried cloning, nothing is working.
The way I see it the game has these players IN a pending trade, or heading into FA, which neither is true.
I was looking at the league tool buttons and saw a need for "Erase all pending trades" as a tool that would be fantastic right around now.

Tedious workaround, but should get you going:

Since something is messed up somewhere that is persistent when the player is cloned, try this:

Create a new player and manually enter all the data the same as one of your stuck players. Have his contract info also the same. Remove the original player from your team. Add the new "manual clone" to your team. Shop that player.

Trade that newly created player. You now have received players/picks/cash for him.

Now delete the newly created player that you traded and add the original player to the team you traded the newly created player.

Rinse. Repeat. Rinse. Repeat.

Your transaction log will look funky, but your players will move IAW with what their value is to teams that wanted them based on the contracts you signed them to. Also, you will be keeping the stat history for the players that seem to be "bugged".

I couldn't possibly agree with you more Wolf. That's why I think its very important for us to find the cause of this issue and find a fix. I think I'll send Markus an email with a link to this thread.

Cloning the player sort of worked. The teams financials are now hosed since there is basically 2x the salary of each player cloned, even moving them to AAA.
No clue how this bug works, of if it's fixable, but I can't deal these players like this.

Hey Guys,

I know that Curt has already asked this but I thought I would ask again. This thread has had around 320 views so far and counting. Has anyone had this happen in any of your leagues? Let's not strictly focus on OOTP 14 but also on earlier versions. If anyone has ever had this happen please let us know here. It could go a long way towards finding the cause of this disturbing issue and fixing it.

Do you by chance have the most recent version of OOTP 14? The reason I ask is some other users are having issues with getting stuck in other areas of the game.
