Two Stat Inquiries
Is there a way to track number of grand slams by a player, and/or career leaders for that event? I know Lou Gehrig holds the real record with 20, but it's something I'd like to see tracked.
Also, why does the award screen show MVP/CY/ROY award winners as being on whatever team they started the season with, instead of the team they finished with and/or played on for most of the season? I had traded for a pitcher back in 2012 in April, who went on to win the Cy Young and Rookie of the Year awards, and he's shown as being on his Opening Day team in the League History Award listing. |

I like the GS tracking idea very much.
Along the lines of your award/team comment, I (the AI, actually) traded for Red J Smith on August 20, and he left Tampa Bay and joined my Rockies. He had 526 PAs with the Rays and was batting .368 for them. He winds up winning the AL Batting title. When the news item was generated for his winning of the batting title it said "Smith's .263 Best in American League" (that's what he hit for me, Colorado, for the remainder of the season). It was amusing. |

That is funny. And it is something that could happen.

To follow-up on this, I did some Game Log checking, and one of my players has 4 Grand Slams as of June 29th of a MLB Quickstart 162-game season. He's only 2 short of the MLB single-season record of 6, but the game appears to not be tracking it.
Going to do some almanac mining to see what his career numbers are, and how he compares to Lou Gehrig's 23 (my mistake in the OP). |
