Activation error

When I go to activate my game, I get this:

I have talked to Brad Cook and Gary Breckenridge about this. Hopefully someone could shed some more light on this.

I'm working with esellerate to figure out the cause of this error. I'll update everyone who has this problem once we figure it out. Fortunately, there's only been a handful of people who've reported it.

I am receiving this error as well. I was able to successfully install OOTP14 on my PC, but I get this error when I tried installing the game on my laptop in order to play while on the road. Any updates on this issue yet?

I'm having the same problem, with a slightly different error message. I installed the program just fine on my laptop, but when I try to install a second copy on my desktop computer, I get the 'ACTIVATION_UNEXPECTED_FAILURE' message.

Could this have any connection with another post telling us that esselerates web site was down. Does the game check the license code through esellerate?

Just a shot in the dark.

Not for me - I've been getting that 'Activation_Unexpected_Failure' message for weeks now, I just haven't done anything about it since it was just on my 2nd machine..
