Version 0.9.26 Game Update Now Available

Our newest game update, Version 0.9.26, is now available, including a data update.

You can download the new version at:

Installation instructions: After you download the file just install it over your existing game (you don't need to un-install the old version first!). Make sure to select the correct path to your game if needed. (this link should avoid the problems we had earlier with older cached versions, but you may still want to double-check when you start the game that it's version 0.9.17 - look at the bottom of the startup screen, it should read "Version 0.9 Beta Build 26.")

Saves from earlier versions are not compatible with this version!

Changes/Fixes/Additions:

Bug fixes:

Various crashes fixed.
Display bug that resulted in crashes while viewing games at certain resolutions fixed.
SM-Liiga relegation series no longer played against team from incorrect league.
Playoff line in SM-Liiga standings screen now appears in correct place.
Teams now promoted to Allsvenskan from Swedish Division 1 instead of Russian junior league.
Goalie stat leaders lists no longer reduced to 2 players in some leagues.
NHL waivers now apply prior to the start of the regular season, so it's no longer possible to evade them by sending players down before the schedule starts.
KHL teams now consider nationality restrictions when making a trade.
AI teams should now offer picks earlier than the 5th round in trades.
NHL Draft no longer uses list of eligible nations that was excluding some countries - all IIHF nations should now be draft-eligible.
The league Player Stats and team Skater Stats 1 screen now default to a proper sort order (points, goals, games played.)

Changes:

Finnish Mestis is now playable (some bugs at the moment, roster limits are set too low and there are issues with playoffs/relegation/promotion.)
Mouse buttons 3 and 4 can now be used to go forward/back.
GAA and Save % added to goalie career stats and "Last 4" section.
Manager Options screen now includes single buttons to set all coaching/management options to the AI or user.
"Save as..." save option added.
Point totals now bolded in standings screens.
All positions rated 15 or higher now indicated at top of player screen, instead of just the highest one.
Farm teams now referred to on various screens by city name instead of nickname (where applicable.)
"Drafted from" team now indicated in draft report.
League logos now use the same format as historical logos (_year at the end of the name) so they can now change over time.
Retirements on non-playable teams are now handled mainly by the non-playable transactions system - this should end the mysterious prospect disappearances some people had noted.
Non-playable leagues now use additional categories of player movement (some major incompatibilities at the moment between the systems for moving players out of their league if they become too good/bad and the way the computer is assigning ratings to players with incomplete data at the start of the game - generally, those players aren't good enough, so it means a lot of guys retiring early. The player generation/ratings fill-in systems will be getting major overhauls in the next week or two.)
Size of potential destinations lists for nonplayable transactions expanded.
Team text colour now adjusted based on background color (this is a precursor to some larger improvements in the way team colours are handled, including full editability.)

Database Changes:

Players with NHL debuts up to 1993-94 now included in historical database.
Leagues/countries with significant amounts of updated data: NHL, AHL, NCAA, OHL, QMJHL, KHL, Czech Republic, Finland, UK.

FYI, Allsvenskan database updates are still way behind, mostly because a guy who was supposed to do a lot just disappeared from the forums etc. You should see significant improvements in the NEXT database update, hopefully.

Anyway, we (well, me) are working on it. As for Elitserien, Nikki's quite busy at the moment, but no worries, we'll have the DB in very good shape come September.

Ive been noticing some problems with trading players and not hearing back from the team you offered a trade to.

One other note I dont know if its like this for all teams but playing as the rangers ive tried getting players through trades and even giving the team top draft picks plus good prospects and nothing happens.

Well ive experienced my first crash I didn't crash at all before this patch so I dont know if I had been lucky up til now or if it was the patch that made me crash.

I see you've fixed the goalies on the leaderboards but have you fixed the goalie stats?

I could problary fix that, I've been following HA HockeyAllsvenskan since 06/07 until now, I'm pretty familiar with the players and everything all around. I've also been working inside Örebro Hockey for a while.

Shutouts still aren't being recorded, as well as goalies getting losses when they win in OT.

I'm glad Save As was added but know I'm waiting for E. League Option,Multi Team/Trades with other Leagues,Wavier Trades,Templates so I can add like 1979 to 2013/14 one ,Trades in Draft,Other Options turned on in League Structure so I can setup the NHL League the way I want to/add Orlando as a Team/add Minor League Teams to my Team or change them and so on.

Has anybody seen a NHL Computer Control Team make a Trade that has more in it like have to give up Prospects/Draft Picks, so on and not just a Player and a Pick?

Also for the presentation portion of watching the game can you implement more of an east side hockey style where you can see the players numbers and watch them play from an overhead view rather than just seeing when shots are taken and reading the play by play. Also if the logos can be adjusted as well along with their being no volume during the game.

I haven't had a crash in a long time and I hold the OOTP record for most game crashes. The game has improved a lot in 6 weeks. Hopefully The WHA and Fictional Leagues are in the works.

I just bought Fast Break Pro Basketball (or whatever its called) and there isn't a basketball court but a very detailed play-by -play(which helps).

Hi guys, just downloaded the latest version and bought the game. I've only downloaded the latest version, and I can't seem to find the updates for Hockeyallsvenskan in Sweden, it's still the same teams. My local team Bjorkloven got promoted this season to hockeyallsvenskan, and therefore I would've liked to start a save with them. So to my question; Is it because I need the earlier versions, or is it because Hockeyallsvenskan isn't updated yet?

Neither, since we don't have the schedules etc for 13/14 yet, we're leaving the teams in their 12/13 divisions for now. That'll change soon enough though. I know there are schedules out there, but not in an easy-to-import format yet

One thing I don't like in Build 26, is the sortable thing always reverting back, in things like the star order, or trade screens. Liked it better before when you had it sorted and stayed that way.

I'm just waiting for the next update cuz this update I havent been able to play as mine like a couple others keeps crashing when I go to sim to next day/week/month or whatever. So hoping next update is soon!
