In the minor leagues, coaches have a "handle rookies, handle veterans, handle players" rating.

Do these have any impact on minor league teams?

e.g. when I'm looking to hire a coach for my Triple A club, does the handle veteran rating have any impact?

Are there rookies/veterans in the minors?

It does make an impact, how big of a one I'm not sure.

But, it depends on your team if you're Vet heavy or Rookie heavy.

I still cant figure the real difference that the coaches make. I have run dynasty both ways, with coaches and without, I still really dont see any difference, except with the coaches, you have to every once in a while you have to resign/sign your staff. I have never been able to find anything on the boards that explain the exact difference the staff makes.

I'm sure it makes some difference. The manual references the age range for players' "rookie", "player", and "veteran" status, so I can safely infer some difference. How much, I don't know.

One additional possibility is that the "handles" ratings pertain to how likely a coach would be to be interested in working in your organization. Generally, when I hire a coach, I look for coaches who do a good job handling rookies and they seem to be more amenable to taking lower level coaching jobs.
