Amount of leagues affect sim speed?

Yes, I know about the FAQ involving the sim speed, and how to speed it up.

But, I have a question. Would the amount of leagues in the OOTP4 folder have anything to do with the sim speed? Just a couple nights ago, I added yet another league to the folder, bringing the total up to seven in the folder. When I was simming the season of the most recent league, I noticed the sim speed is quite a bit slower. So would the more leagues in the OOTP4 slow down the sim speed, or no?

I'm thinking no, but maybe it can factor in there.

I would think that only as far as having free HD space would be concerned.
