Thanks for the heads-up. Like it better than Inkscape so far.

Awesome Justafan! I love your glossy logo template too. An easy way to make some. Now, if I could only figure out how to make jersey scripts.

Can we make jerseys in Xara? and if so can someone teach me so I can stop bugging people who are busier than I am? I want to make the spring training caps.

Yes you can, but I can't teach you, I just don't have the patience.

justafan,

I have tried your template but I can't figure out how to save my work. Can you possibly have enough patience to explain to me how to save it?

Also, is there any way possible to open your template using Gimp 2.8?

Much appreciated in advance.

Tried GIMP yet? The template makes it very accessible.

Find some fonts and try the mould and bevel tools. It's what I've been doing. Some decent scripts so far.

Basic Instructions

1. Select File/Import or (Ctrl+Alt+I) and open image
2. Grab corner handle of selected image and drag to resize image
3. Place in center of glossy logo
4. Select Utilities/Color Editor or (Ctrl+E) then in the dropdown box select “Logo Color 1” then drag the eyedropper to the color you want
then do the same for “Logo Color 2”
5. Drag mouse around glossy logo and image to select all then select File/Export or (Shift+Ctrl+E) give it a “File name” and choose “Save as type” PNG then click “Export”

Do you mean step 5, or do you mean you want to save the template itself?

Are you still having trouble with step #5? If so, what part?

Yes and no. I tried GIMP about 2 years ago and my jerseys looked like a 2 yr old made them. Since I restored my PC back to it's default settings Gimp won;t work on my PC. I still haven't been able to update many Windows XP programs. I am on service pack 2 but it hasn't updated and my Flash player hasn't been able to update this year. Some day I need to fix that.

This file is taking forever to download. Normally I can download a 225 MB file in about an hr. After 3 hours it was at 35%. So for now I gave up.

I downloaded it from that site. First, it demanded that it be allowed to modify my firewall. Then it rebooted my system.

That's way too suspicious for me. Deleting it and running anti-Trojan software now.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

In rare (and obnoxious) cases, I use Revo Uninstaller to get salty applications to uninstall.

You are overreacting.

I've used this software for years and have had no problems.

Probably because you terminated the install prematurely.
