split squads; roving instructors plus 7 other random ones

1 Ability to have split squads in spring training. MLB teams break into multi teams like A/B, and then split the veterans and prospects between them.

2.Ability to be able to hire "roving instructors" for a season, and assign them to work with certain prospects for a duration of time at any level. The longer time spent, the more improvement, but less time available for the instructor with other prospects.

3 Ability to set pitch count strategy for players and or team, like "never swing on 3-0 count" or "don't swing until first called strike thrown. for pitchers "automatically pitch around on 0-2 or 1-2 count"

4 We can ask a pitcher to "pitch," "pitch around" or to "pitch to contact." Why can't we have hitters focus on "contact" or "power" based on scenario. At least be able to select between conservative (work the pitch count) vs aggressive (need the hit)

5 I'm sure I'm not the only to ask for more interaction choices with mound visits. A starting pitcher getting hit hard in 2nd inning, it would be nice to have option to send out the pitching coach to "settle down pitcher" vs just checking if he's out of gas after 30 pitches.

6 Interaction with bench/pitching/hitting coaches would be nice during game play. Maybe you can ask their suggestions as far as pulling a pitcher/hitter or shifting etc.

7 Clutch rating. I'm surprised this isn't in the game. some hitters rise up more than others.

8 Stat displaying a pitcher's run support. Not all 20 game winners are equal.

9 A "Shift All Left/Right" option to save time from having to set infield and outfield separately.

1 and 2 for sure. Split squads would be great for developing young players and building up the veterans, much the same as it is done now in reality. You could also invite more non-roster players to camp. Would mirror how it really works.

Roving instructor(s) would also be great. Take the money out of the scouting budget to focus on the development of stud minor league players (imagine roving hitting instructor Tony Fernandez travelling to Lansing to work with Bo Bichette and Vladdy Jr., or a struggling Dansby Swanson sent to Richmond for some 1-on-1 with Chipper)

Another wish would be a full complement of coaches at the MLB level, including 1st/3rd base coaches, who usually also double as infield/outfield/baserunning coaches. A Bullpen coach who could help with the development of the relievers.

I hadn't thought of the minor league instructors but like that idea. I have always wanted to see additional coaches (1st, 3rd and bullpen). I think these would be great additions

Heh, I'd go in the opposite direction. I think there is already too much personnel in the game. They're mostly window dressing, in my view, and I'd be happy to see it trimmed way back to just the essentials (say, owner, general manager, field manager, and perhaps scouting director and player development director) and abstract the remaining jobs. It'd make for a much more streamlined and focused experience, in my opinion.

Split squads definitely are something I would like to see, although I do wonder how well the database could handle it without some amount of work on Markus' part.

If Live Play by Play then 1st Base/3rd Base Coaches would be needed.
