Spot Starters HELP

I need help with setting up spot starters. With the option now gone how do I set the staff to allow spot starters as in v13. I tried every combo and the AI wont use them.

I cant figure out any other way then playing out every game for every team and this is not possible.

Did you try changing their Primary Role to emergency SP?

I realize this maybe not what you're asking, but it's what i'm gonna try and see how it works.

I tried both of these and neither works. I used to get a pretty wide spread of 20-35 starts for regulars and a nice mix of spot starters. Now it 37-40 for regular and 0-3 for others. (AVJ)

No luck here either. Looks like mop up duty is gone as well.

Why the omission of these pitcher roles?

BUMP - Need an answer. I've tried every setup and nothing. This feature was one of the MAJOR attractions to the game for me. Was any thought put into this before it was removed?

I have a 32 team league. They play 40 games each, 2 to 3 games each week. I have the Rotation set a 2 but only list 1 pitcher. I use the spot starters and set the % rate based on how good the main guy is. So I get a good mix of starts from the main guy of 25-35 starts. And the rest is mixed into each team 2 spot starters. I have the setup at 'strict, on occasion start highest rested' V14 wont do this as far as I can tell.

See my previous post. I hate to play out games. Not enough patience. But I like to control each teams lineups and rotations. Plus it keeps me involved in the game. Other then that I would just sim season after season, get bored and play something else.

Nevermind......I guess you are right that your particular setup has taken a hit with the loss of the spot starting % setting.......but it IS an odd setup....and I bet you are the only player in the world who's setup took a hit....

Have you tried setting guys to emergency starter and only having one pitcher in the rotation?...

Yes that's the way I have it setup in v13. With a 2 man rotation. When the come to the second spot will use the spot starters based on there % setting. I've also tried every other configuration I can think of but to no avail. I hope Markus is seeing my posts and might take pity on a loyal game buyer.

I've tried leagues before playing 162 games with full rosters but I found I get bored too quick because the schedule then becomes too tedious.

No, I mean in OOTP14...you can set guys to Emergency Starter.....then have your two man rotation populated by 1 man and see if the game will use the Emergency Starters semi-randomly or if they will always use the same Emergency Starter.......my guess would be that they would always WANT to use the same one, but they may not be able to if the guy they want to use is tired from having pitched in relief.....so you might get the same sort of results in the end.....

Nope it doesn't work. The ES is being used 1 or 2 times the entire season on a few teams and none at all on most. I've tried every setup I can think of and it wont work. Other then start messing with league totals and stamina I'm lost.
