Free Agency
Wondering if something could be implemented cause this is a minor annoyance not one to stop me from getting the game however
Player asks for 5 year 100 million contract I offer 4 year 72 million +20 mil vesting option Player mulls offer but never takes it Player signs in January for 4 years 52 million You would think a player might come back and ask a team if an offer is still on the table. I guess I am asking for more player interaction on long drawn out negotiations |

I've found you have to have an imagination when it comes to things like this. Maybe he signs with a team closer to home for less money. Maybe negotiations went sour due to the way you looked at his wife or maybe he doesn't like the color of the uniforms.
I get what you're asking for and it would certainly be nice to have a more realistic negotiation process; Though there are ways around it. |

When I have an offer to a free agent that sits there for a long time, I will sometimes go in an make another offer and add or subtract one dollar, just to keep the offer "fresh." I have no idea of that makes a difference, though.
I also keep an eye on the offseason center, where it will show the interested teams for the top free agents. If I make a good offer and the player says he's considering it, then see my team disappear from that list of interested teams, I figure it's time to adjust my offer. |

Occasionally I have seen offers disappear at the start of the new year or at the start of the preseason. Maybe something like that happened.

More love for contract negotiations would be welcome. I like where this interaction is going, where there is an initial back and forth before the offer is actually submitted for consideration......but adding more interaction would be welcome for sure.

I know there are ways around this I just wanted to know if something like this could be worked and if people would like to see more interest in contract negotiations.
