Will a third party tool be required for the editor or will it be in game? When will it be released?

No, it will be in the game.

I just have to figure out some design questions:

1. How to let the user save his changes and re-use them.

2. (maybe) How to let a user share his roster set with other users.

so there is an editor, or will be? Gotta get 2013 downloaded tonight...will be an unproductive evening I think

sweet. I played the heck out of the 2012 IOOTP...been checking the app store every night for the 2013....this is the one big feature I thought was lacking in the last version.

Yeah, when is the update coming out anyway?? For the player editor and the updated rosters?? I'm anxious to get the new rosters, Felix Doubront is horrible in this game even with the good stats last year. Also Jackie Bradley Jr. Isn't on the roster yet, the sox still have Overbay and Brock holt is in the majors, mike carp isn't even good, please let me know...

The roster update will be out soon. The Editor update will be later, we have to finish Retina and iPhone 5 support first as Apple demands it for future updates.

I'm glad Apple is forcing developers to come current. New apps that are non-iPhone 5/Retina optimized are just not cool.

In any event, I'd rather the formatting errors be corrected before a new player editor is added. As it stands, playing on m iPad can be frustrating as many screens aren't completely viewable because of the scroll bar bug. Of course, once that's fixed I would really love a player editor.
