Retro League Baseball is now simming the '63 World Series. This is the end of our 4th season and the league owner's have voted to expand the NL by 2 team.
I still have an opening availalable for the "new" Pittsburgh Pirates. After the last team ditched Pittsburgh for Houston, the town's been screaming for another team at Forbe's. Also, due to personal reasons and team financial difficulties, the Astros are in search of new leadership for 1964. They stand to start the year about $10 mil in the red, but this situation will be fixed before the start of off-season activities. I'm definately looking for an expierianced online OOTPer for the expansion Pirates. Previous AL expansion has shown that it is a difficult, time-consuming process with very little chance of reward in the near future. The Astros, however, are definately an established team. Led by the perennial All-Star Dick Stuart, I honestly feel they have a shot in a very competative division. I need someone who wants to be actively involved in the team. The payroll NEEDS to be cut until they are a little more successful. Expieriance is not a requirement, but a plus. Interested players should check out the leagues web site at www.retro-league-baseball.com and e-mail the commish.
