$0 Contract
Playing as the Calgary Flames I just negotiated the transfer of Karri Ramo from his Russian team and then accepted his requested contract terms ($925,000 for 1 year). A few days later he accepted the offer and it is showing him on a $0 contract.
![]() Obviously this will help my salary cap but something has gone wrong here. When doing the contract negotiations I just hit the "Accept Demands" button (I can't remember the actual wording) and then changed the role to Backup instead of Normal Player. |

Even worse playing as the Mooseheads in QMJHL. I looked at the number 1 player in upcoming draft and signed him to a contract by mistake. (I clicked offer contract, but never actually tried to meet demands or anything.)
I then repeated this by signed a player who was under contract to another QMJHL team. Notes: -Did this before pre-season started. Steps Taken: 1. Found player and clicked his profile. 2. Actions -> Offer Contract 3. Backed out of menu. A day later I received notice he signed his contract and is now on my team! I am the BEST GM EVER! :P |

Something's definitely going horribly wrong with the way major junior teams are treating contract rights, that'll be high on the priority list for a fix.
The Ramo thing, I don't think I've heard of yet. I'll get that added to the bug tracker. Edit: I just found the cause of the QMJHL player rights being ignored: there's an incorrect setting in the league rules. The next data update will fix it. Last edited by JeffR; 03-06-2013 at 02:52 AM. |
