The Original Madison Square Garden?
I don't remember too much about this arena. I watched some NBA games on TV the last season it was used.
Will you use the older arenas for your leagues? Since I will have many teams in New York looks like this will be used. |

I in no way mean to be rude here, but I think it'd probably be in the best interest of the whole forum if you created one historical question thread and asked all the off the wall historical questions and double header facts in there.
Again don't rage, but I imagine I can't be the only one feeling this way. |

Yes, I agree too. There are emerging quite a lot of short threads this way. I think it should be better to cumulate such questions.

I've been praying for years that OOTP would do this, but alas I fear the FHM Forum will follow the same path.
If you spend anytime at all browsing the OOTP Forums, you'll see threads for everything and anything in general discussion, despite there being specific forums for things like online leagues, historical, new to game, etc etc. The vast majority of threads wind up in general discussion. The most common reason I see for it is - "well this forum (general discussion) has the most posts in it so I figure it will get more attention here". The general discussion forum is a mess, and it makes it really hard when doing searches because you get so many results. It also makes it harder to find recent threads as they drop off the first page at a fast rate. The worst one is suggestions - the new OOTP 14 general discussion forum is full of them, despite there being a forum specifically for suggestions for OOTP 14. Same story - I'm posting it on this forum because it gets more looks. I have very little doubt that the FHM Forums will become identical once the game is out and continues to grow. I'd volunteer in heartbeat to be a Mod with "move only" privileges. I'm retired and spend a fair bit of time here. It would not be a bother for me at all to take on that task. Maybe I'm being nitpicky, but that's just me. I'm a very neat and organized person in all aspects of my life. I like things in their proper place because it makes them much easier to find when needed. Anyway, enough of my rambling. My offer stands if anyone from the Dev Team is interested. |

LOL. I could not have said it better myself gentlemen.
![]() IN all seriousness though...company boards for games tend to be like that. Start a new thread to get an answer. People think that is the way it works. Same at the SI Boards for EHM back in the day for sure. THere should be a thread called: THE OFFICIAL HISTORICAL MODE thread and the OFFICIAL FICTIONAL MODE THREAD. Then there could at least be threads I would not see all the questions about the Syracuse Serial Killers team in and their expansion draft. Note: I am not saying there is anything wrong with fictional leagues etc...IN fact I think they are cool, I just don't care to see 35 different threads about them. And note 2: I am not saying this is the OP issue, it is just as much an issue how the boards are run and moderated. And note 3: Not blaming Sebastien, Jeff or the FHM crew at all. I know they have no time to put into the boards and are solely focused on developing a great game for all of us. Which is where I want them to be. Company game boards are like this. They are not going to pay someone to moderate. Moderating the boards ..any one you are on...is a passion...People do it because it is a labour of love for the topic of the board. But the company has to be sure to select right people to do this for them. And they have to be careful how much info is given to that volunteer mod. Different on private sites such as TBL, TBN etc. All in all....not a big deal to me if MSG original recipe is in the game. I mean who wants rats.

Not looking to get paid, I'd do it for free just for my own sanity alone.
![]() The reason boards are like that is because they let them go like that. You're right, they don't have the time to worry about that stuff and they shouldn't either. They should be working on the game as you said and as they are. Hence, why I volunteered.

Or how about sub-forums? Put all the fictional or dynasty (fictional or historical or modern) threads in their own place.
It's great that people are going to have a great time entertaining themselves with their leagues. That's what the game is for, but I personally don't need to wade through these to find info about the game. |
