I personally just hit the print-screen button on my laptop, paste that into IrfanView, crop out the part I want, save it, and upload to photobucket. Windows 7 has a snipping tool that works well too, allowing you to quickly crop and save the part of the screen you want, then uploading to photobucket. It takes longer to explain it than to do it.

Find the print screen button on your computer. Have whatever you want to capture visible on screen. Press print screen. This copies the screen to the clipboard. Open up any graphics program. I use Irfanview. Paste the captured image into the program of choice. Save as a .jpg or .png file. To make it easier, create a screenshots folder so they end up in the same location. You may have to reduce resolution to keep the file size low enough. To post a screenshot, reply or post a new thread (see the screenshot below) and click on the paper clip. Follow the dialogue boxes to browse and choose your files.
