New League... Wait for OOTP5

Let's say, for argument's sake, I did something like do an entire *^$#&^$# conversion of my FPS league to OOTP.

NOt having started the first season in OOTP yet, I see that I would like to track minor league stats in my converted league.

So the question is- can anyone "in the know" give their advice as to whether I should:

1) play the whole season in OOTP4 and then convert to OOTP5 after the season;
2) start the season in OOTP4 and then convert to OOTP5 once 98% of the bugs are worked out in the first month; or
3) Wait until OOTP5 comes out and 98% of the bugs are worked out in the 1st month.?

I guess it depends if your ready and have owners that will be buying OOTP5. Beta is going very well so far and I would say go with the release time for starting or converting your league. Depending on your schedule you could probably have a season complete or near completion [in OOTP4] within the approx. 2 months [give or take a month] until OOTP5 is released.

OOTP has (since v.3 at least) allowed you to roll your league from the old model to the new (i.e. v.3 went to v.4); so I'm assuming this will continue with v.5.

I would definitely do it, you should get in one or two seasons depending on your sim speed before v.5 is out in March/April so nothing to lose there either.

I would not recommend doing the change in the middle of the season though.

I agree with Ragin Cajun, it def. wouldn't hurt to transfer it over ASAP. I don't even think doing it in the middle of a season would hurt, but I guess it's better to be safe then sorry on that part.

There was a huge bug in the last conversion of finances that basically re-did all finances. I asked about it a few times on the boards. Only a few other people complained of it with me, but no one ever disputed that there was a bug. Very uncharacteristically, no one "in the know" ever said much about it. That experience would make me wait for v.5 in your situation.
