Editing Players In-game

So, if I have been informed right (), OOTP allows you to edit a player right in the game itself, correct?

Seeing as I run a simulation league (I've explained it before, if anyone wants me to do it again, I will), I was wondering if this ability would be in FHM as well, and, in addition, if it could be disabled and/or restricted?

Basically, if we switch to using FHM, we'll have at least 50+ people buying the game. We have an open method of simulating our games to the next day, and that means that if a player wants a certain team to win or tamper, they could edit the players involved (or just make the opposing goalie terrible).

Would there be a way to, prior to the franchise starting, disable editing players? Or, even better (my real hope and request, since I don't think it would be too difficult) could manually editing any player in-game require a password?

As commissioner/coordinator/guy-in-charge, if I needed to change a player's attributes, I could, but it couldn't be used by others to exploit or cheat.

Sound like a good idea?

That's how it works in OOTP, has forever - only the Commish has editing abilities, or I should say the Commish's password is required. Nobody else can edit players.

oh god, that's great this was something that was not explained properly to me.

so if i was running a season, i could have 10 teams with 10 GMs being human, and additionally have another user that is the commish and have a password for that account, and only that account can edit player attributes?

just looking to be clear on it. thanks!

That's correct. For OOTP.

didn't think people still said that...

I hope we can edit players to be injured like in ootp too. I like creating scenarios like what if my big budget goalie is out for a full year will we still make the playoffs (then force injury on goalie, out for season, and edit it in his history page too to make it official )

Yes, the game will have a Commish mode (I just stared to code it the other day) and of course support a commish password so only him can change stuff in a league file.

Right now I have no idea how much we will port from OOTP 13 in time for the first release. It's not a feature I used in OOTP since my Online League days as Commish way back when OOTP 6 was the actual version and I have no idea how much was added by Markus over the years.

If I understand it right, I could edit an already started season?

(Kind of a better Saved game editor than EHM has)

I'd be happy if it had all of the features of OOTP6 in terms of Commissioner mode.
