uninstalling, reinstalling
I was wondering how you can uninstall and reinstall without having to purchase a new $40 game. I dont really care about losing game files

If you have already used both of your licenses you can "unlicensed" one CPU and then use it on another. If this CPU is the only one with the game on it you should not have a problem. Have you already tried? Did you have problems? To the best of your ability, exactly what were they?

You can uninstall and reinstall without affecting the license. Uninstalling doesn't destroy your leagues, but if you want to trash them they're stored in Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 13\saved_games.
If you want to be careful, you can release the license from in-game first. Just make sure you have the license key you were emailed. If you've lost the email, the key is also stored in %APPDATA%\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 13\config\key.cfg. Just copy that to your desktop and you should be OK. I want too start from scratch because the games are unplayable. I un-install and re-install OOTP11 all the time and the leagues work perfectly(except for one crash). |

The uninstall method for v13 has changed so be very careful when you uninstall and read everything!!!
Option 1 is to keep your saved games and customized files. Option 2 uninstalls everything including all saved games. Using this option, I would definately unlicense the game first as I have no clue if it wipes out your license info or not. Normally when you need to re_license the game it's just a matter of re-entering your serial key including the ootp13- part. , but make sure you have your purchase info handy just in case. |

Still no answer on how to reinstall. Uninstall means removing the game from the computer. How do you re-install something that has been removed. I can't reinstall OOTP11 without the DVD because once uninstalled-its removed from the computer(unless there is something I don't know). How can I be careful if I don't know how to reinstall too begin with. Thats the question.

Why do you want to uninstall? Why are you asking for help when you say; Quote:

The reason the games are unplayable is most likely due to Windows being too unstable. What you need to be worrying more about is getting your computer fixed then we can help you get your games playable. IMHO, if you don't take your computer back to the place of purchase and request that they fix it you are running a very good risk of a serious system crash. System crashes are not good on motherboards and hard drives as they do shorten the life of them. Bottom line - you can start from scratch all you want but your games will very likely continue to be unplayable. Your problem is not with the game but instead with the computer you are trying to play it on. Best Regards, Bowtie OOTPD Tech Support
