Overall and Potential Ratings

Is a player's overall potential rating (whether stars or the 20-80 system) based on the accumulation of all a player's individual rating potentials? On the same note, is a players overall rating based solely on his current ratings?

Reason I ask is that I wondered if overall rating and potential rating might indicate something more than just the player's individual ratings - something like his star quality, whether he is more or less likely to play to his actual ratings.

EDIT: Just read the manual and it is based on ratings. Should have read that before posting!!

Don't know what the current manual says with regard to this but, potential ratings do not include stats and are ratings only. The overall, based on your AI EVAL settings will reflect the combinations you have entered there.
