What If......? Baseballs Biggest Blunders Undone!

This will be a history replay of Baseballs Biggest blunders. Examples!

What if Babe Ruth wasn't sold to the Yankees?

What if Tom Seaver stayed with the Mets for the rest of his career?

What if Brooks Robinson wasn't traded?

What if Fred Lynn and Carlton Fisk got their contracts on time?

What if The Red Sox got rid of Bill Buckner for someone else?

All of these things, and more will change the way history goes!

First up, Carlton Fisk and Fred Lynn contract mishap!

The Boston Red Sox tendered contracts to Carlton Fisk and Fred Lynn, two days after the Basic Agreement deadline, making the pair elibible for free agency. Fisk becomes a free agent and ultimately signs with the White Sox. Lynn agrees to be part of a deal to the Angels.

What if They stay with the Redsox? What would happen to them?

This is where I come in. I will be giving them their contracts, to keep them in Boston. Will they get that elusive World Series?

Though I wouldn't consider it a blunder, I would like to see how DiMaggio, Williams, Feller, Musial, and others would've faired had they not served in WWII.

I will Hendu!

But, the 1980 season has been done and injuries was a common occurence on the Redsox. Fred Lynn had been out since April, Yaz will be out until the middle of next year. On January 11th, Carlton Fisk WAS TRADED to Pittsburgh for John "The Hammer" Milner. That sort of ruins my whole thing, but whatever. Weirdest thing, Milner had the better year. 2 more homeruns than Fisk and Fisk is aging quickly. To make things wackier, Rod Carew is now a Red Sox! I am not GMing, I just gave them their contracts and stepped back. Commisioner's mode, of course.

1981 has happened

Both hit 17 HR and both hit 67 RBI's. Carlton was traded again. He was traded for a random RP named Kevin Hickey. Fisk is now a part of the Astros. Uggghhh! This is not going to plan!
Edit: I am now officially bamboozled. I swear to god, I did not step in and do this, but Carlton Fisk was traded again, BACK TO THE RED SOX! He was traded for La Marr Hoyt, the man who was traded for Jim Rice and Rich Gedman. Now, does this shock me, Yes. But, HOW DID I MISS JIM RICE BEING TRADED! So, in essence, Jim Rice and Rich Gedman was traded to the other sox for Carlton Fisk. My mind has been blown.

...How in the world do you get traded twice in two seasons? Do teams just not like Fisk or something?

1982 has happened.

Carlton Fisk got injured again and may soon become a backup. He has a 7 for contact now.

Lynn struggled, but hit .280 and hit 11 Hrs and 87 RBI's.
In other news Johnny Bench was traded to the Redsox, and also Rod Carew signs a 2 year extension.
Jim Rice signs with the Yankees? What the.....

But now, Fisk has been released by the Sox, and by the start of Spring training, it looks like he will not be a hall of famer. He was picked up by Seattle but he is in AA. Ouch.

1983!!!

Carlton Fisk has retired. Alsoo, Fred Lynn has A CEI on the final game of the season. He has an undisclosed injury. Obviously, they have been BUSTS! Anything can happen, you know.

So, what is next you may ask! Well, What if World War II never happened! Everybody stayed to finish their careers! This one will be a longer one. Name some people you want me to track. I am going away from my OOTP for a week but I will still check in.
