Completely overwhelmed

Bought the game a month or so ago, played it once, got overwhelmed and quit.

Trying to come back to it and am running into the same problem. Just too much stuff to keep track of.

I was able to get to the screen to make a lot of the decisions AI oriented (I don't have time to sit here and set my lineups through injuries. I'd just like to be the GM, not the coach!), but have since lost my way and can't get back to it. Where is it?

Second, I downloaded the All in One mod and installed it, yet when I make a new league or whatever, all the faces, team names, etc. are all still fake. What gives? All these fake team names ruin the game for me.

Third, is there a way to sim games in bulk? For instance, can I sim three weeks at the click of a button? Or do I have to go day by day?

Fourth, why am I getting such ridiculous sim numbers? Simmed one season, and Cano hit 4 HRs in 118 games, A-Rod hit 38 bombs... just unrealistic stuff. Is this just an abnormal season, or is this a regular occurrence?

Fifth, why are these contracts so absurd? Russell Martin wants $12.5M/year for NINE years following the first year, Andruw Jones wants a $10M/yr deal, Mariano Rivera wanted a 4 year deal, etc. Why is this?

Thanks guys, appreciate it.

1. Download the latest patch and you can set it up so you are just the GM, Under GM Options set it so your Mgr runs the teams and minor league managers run the minors.

2. The all in one only works for real teams not fictional, so create a 2012 Quickstart from the main menu or a MAL league under the league creation.

3. You can sim day by day, up to an event, a week, a month, a year, to a specific date. Under Play you will see all these options.

4. What were Cano's power #'s (sidenote: it seems you have real players so maybe you did figure out the 2012 Quickstart but if you have fictional names that means you bought the game from the Apple Store. get updated and that should fix the problem.) If you are expecting exact #'s then OOTP isn't the game for you, next yr Cano might hit 60 HR and A-Fraud 4.

5. There are a # of reasons. 1. You are the Yankees you can afford it. 2. They are asking for too much and you migth want to haggle with them. #. Why bother resigning Martin & Jones?

6. read the manual for more info and scour the forum for questions and answers.Out of the Park Baseball Manual

I think he'll have to rename the teams himself.

Also, the App store version is still .3. They are soon to be two behind.

You should sim a season in God mode (commissioner but not running a team) maybe a week at a time. That way you can see what various teams do throughout the season and around the trade deadline etc.
