Is there a way?

OK - having a problem and wondered if anyone might have an answer.

What I would like to do is create and play a game for 3-4 seasons, beginning with current MLB season 2012 and have no fictional players allowed to reach major leagues. I know where to select that option, but every time I use it, teams begin to waive the absolute best prospects in the game. I'm talking about the Bryce Harper's, Dylan Bundy's, Jurickson Profar's, et al. And they don't pull them back when claimed either! It's absolutely crazy - just plain stupid, actually - and takes any realism and enjoyment away from this format. I simply do not like mixing fictional players in when I'm playing with actual major league rosters. There's a place for fictional, for me, and that's in fictional game worlds. Since you can't seem to stop fictional players from being created, drafted and signed, I figured I could block them and at least be able to play 3-4 years without any in the majors, but then the above ruins that.

This has really detracted from my enjoyment of OOTP and, in fact, has me thinking about just closing the game up for the year if I can't find a solution for the issue.

Has anyone found a way around this situation?

Other people can answer this better then I can, but to my knowledge the 2012 rookie and prospects will be based on their 2012 stats and nothing else after 2012. Maybe if re-calc is turned off or even disable player development. I am in July of 2011, so it is something I would be interested in hearing especially since I am bring all players with no ML experience in for 2012 by deleting all players with ML exp prior to 2012 from the 2012 MLB quickstart, saving it as a template and then loading that template into my 2011 league.
