Online League Help

I checked in the online manual for the answer to this question, but was unable to find it, so if it's in there and I missed it, I apologize in advance.

I have joined an online league that uses a manual download of the league file rather than the features built within the OOTP software.

I am having some trouble getting the game to recognize the new league file so I can make my changes and do an export.

One of my main issues is that I recently switched from PC to Mac, and I'm still learning my way around a Mac. I have downloaded the *.tar.gz file into my Saved Games folder in OOTP. I have uncompressed the file so that it shows up as a folder within the Saved Games folder. When I open OOTP13 and go to Load Game, the league does not appear as an option.

I'm pretty sure that I'm missing something simple, and any help I could get would be greatly appreciated.

Is the file that you uncompressed called

LeagueName.lg

That .lg is important. Also in the first level does the world.dat file exist?

Also if you haven't done so yet, restart OOTP13 after unzipping the new file.

The folder was just named LeagueName, but I renamed it a .lg once it was uncompressed, and OOTP still doesn't recognized it.

The world.dat file does exist in the folder.

I have closed and opened OOTP several times since uncompressing the folder.

An update on the situation for those interested in helping me:

I have gone to Library/Application Support/Out of the Park Developments/OOTP Baseball 12/saved_games and I have extracted the league file there, renamed the folder to LeagueName.lg, and gone into OOTP, but it doesn't even recognize that the folder is there.

After doing a little digging by tracing the path of a solo game I'm using, I found that I also have a Documents/Out of the Park Developments/OOTP Baseball 13/saved_games path that has the same files in it. I extracted the league file there as well, added the .lg extension to the folder, and when I opened OOTP again, it recognized the folder.

But, when I tried to load it as a saved game, I got this error: "An error occurred while loading the database! Could not load world file"

So now I have identified two directories, both of which had a folder under "saved_games" for the solo league I'm playing (which works perfectly). Both now have a folder from the extracted league file named "LeagueName.lg". But I'm unable to access that league file.

Any help again would be greatly appreciated.

You are referring to two folders. One is used by OOTP version 12 the other is used by version 13. So that OOTP 13 doesn't recognize saved games in the OOTP 12 folder should be clear.

Then again, did you join an OOTP 12 or 13 league? There are a lot of leagues still running with OOTP 12.

Apologies in bumping a nearly 2 month old thread, but I'm having the same issue. I extracted the league file into the designated .lg folder under saved_games, but whenever I attempt to load the league it dose not show up. example
