Buying seasons how to load them after previous season ends

I played a draft league for 1982 and have purchased 83,84,85, etc. I have noticed that players from 83 and 84 are not showing up when advancing to the following year. For example in 84 there is no Dwight Gooden. It appears the computer is loading fictional names. Am I doing something wrong?

No. In iootp it does not load real players when the season ends. It continues the simulation with fictitious players.

Thats right and the reason is simple: up until the last update the game had pre-generated quickstarts as historical seasons so it was impossible to continue a league with real rookies from the following year. With the last update we removed the quickstarts and put in the database from which the quickstarts got generated and it might be possible to add a feature like you described.

Ok thanks for the response. So I guess it makes no sense to buy a season after the initial season purchased. I purchased 82-90 thinking the players would be loaded and current players ratings would be from the following season. I hope you can address is this in the future or let people know ahead of time that fictional players will be used after playing a season.
