Longest without winning a WS
This is by far the longest I have ever went without winning a World Series in OOTP.
Heck, I even took Tampa Bay to a WS title with version 6.5 ![]() I'm going into my 12 season as GM of the St. Louis Cardinals and although I've been to 6 consecutive playoffs, I've only been to 1 WS and we lost in 5 games. Anyone else have a drought like mine? |

Currently I don't have such a drought. But in OOTP 12 I had a a very bad one myself. I took over the Red Sox and made the playoffs in 13 consecutive seasons with 2 or 3 World Series appearances. Then in my 14th season I didn't make it to the playoffs at all. Then finally in season 15 I went on to win it all.

i started in 2012 with my marlins and im now in my 2019 season and i havent even made the world series yet...i did have three straight appearances in the NLCS...and lost in 5,5,and 7. I sometimes wonder if this AI cheats a little...

I've never had a drought like that but there is a team in my solo league that has been in existence over 70 years and has never made the playoffs (with a three division/wild card set up).

My last season playoffs, we went to a game 5 in the NLDS and I was 1 out from winning the series when my 42 saves/2.02 ERA closer gives up a HR to send the game into extra innings. In the 11th, the same player hits another solo HR to win the game.
I'm thinking.. maybe I should have pitched around that guy..

I went from 1875 to 1890 without an appearance. Also in my dynasty, only two teams have never been to WS but have been in the playoffs once, Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers. Both entered the league in 1882.

I have a historical replay that I've taken a break from for awhile. Started in 1906 and I've played through 1936, all of them as the Tigers. I've never even made the series. Best finish 3rd place. I manage my teams games, but I let the AI handle all the GM duties.

I managed the cubs for 2 years, both 3rd place finishes, but they did win 3 WS.
