Fictional League, Pitch counts, pitchers stamina, among other things...

Hi all! Sorry in afvance for the long post, but here it goes...

I've been playing a fictional save game for 25+ years now (converted from OOTP12).

It's pretty standand, in terms of finances and strategy/PCM, except for the fact that Baseball is the most popular sport in the world (as it should be). Therefore, there are Major Leagues in Germany, United Kingdom, France, Canada, USA (one for each of these last two) and Japan, with minors and all that. With a short competition (league association) beetwen the champions of each of these leagues.

But as the years went by, as the baseball history intusiast I am, I've made some minor but significant changes in strategy, player creation and overall league functios. Basically, it's a mix beeten todays strikeout-happy game and low-scoring deadball era (contact oriented, lower HR numbers, but standard avoid-k by batters).

And they vary from league to league. For example, the traditionalist Brittish Premier League and France Ligue 1 don't use the DH, bunting and base stealing is common, PCM are high-contact, low-power, high-doubles/triples and closers are unheard of. In the US, HR are common, and pitchers are more k oriented, and closer use is set to normal (significantly lower then today's setting, wich I hate).

So, what I'm trying to accomplish in my next "league evolution" is the "return" of 250-300 IP pitchers, and basic abolishment of pitch counts (a.k.a. Devil's plan to doom mankind) in all leagues.

Obviously, setting pitcher stamina to normal (from low) is a start. I'm thinking of raising pitcher stamina from the PCM. OOTP13's drafts are rich in starters, wich is good. But I'm trying to limit the number of elite relievers. Since they won't be used as much, many will stay FA or be underused relative to their ability/potential. Sadly, PCM don't separate starters and relievers modifiers.

However, this much is purely a guess, I have not run any testing to see it this really happens. Pitcher development/aging modifiers and injuries settings might be changed aswell, but I'm not sure yet. Thinking of maybe reflecting on the advancement of pitcher's injury prevention.

So, I told you it would be long! What does everyone think of this? I'm eager and open to feedback of all kind.

I don't have an answer for you but I just wanted to compliment you on a very cool fictional league setup! Hopefully someone has some input on it for you.

Same here, I'm afraid I can't help you but the league itself sounds great.
