I will draft these guys if they are already close to serviceable in MLB, but will generally only allow that they will reach half of their stated potential. I then will wait to draft accordingly.
You likely won't get the star that his potential says he has, but you may get a decent player. |

I tend to avoid college players with low/very low work ethic ratings... unless... the have a high/very high desire to win and you will be placing them onto a winning team. In those situations, my anecdotal evidence suggests that the desire to win trumps everything else and most of the time the players reach their full potential, or very close, without much of a problem.
The work ethic thing for me always seems to rear it's ugly head with the dreaded snowflake icon. Slumps seem to last much longer the lower the work ethic rating. |
