Importing Rosters from Laptop

Had a quick question.....i've got a league set-up on my laptop that i would like to import to my desktop.....how do i do that.......i've tried exporting rosters to a file then sending them to my email address so i could use it on my desktop and when i import them it says complete, but i check the rosters and it's the regular rosters still.....do i have to release all player first, then import the rosters??

thanks

What exactly are you trying to do? If all you want to do is copy the game/league from one machine to the other, located the game folder in \Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 13\saved_games (default location) and zip it.

Copy the zipped file to your desktop and unzip it, making sure to copy it into the same saved games folder. Start OOTP and choose Load Game.

You do want to zip it because it will save you copying time; one file to copy instead of thousands of individual files.

If you're just talking about just a league "set-up," you could try just saving it as a template; the location for that is \Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 13\world_templates. Templates don't save logos, uniforms, and ballpark data, IIRC.

The thing about exporting rosters and statistics is, the game looks for exact matches of player ID's to do anything with the imports. The player ID's in the desktop game are probably different from the exported player ID's from the laptop, so nothing is happening. I am NOT SURE what would happen if you released everybody in the desktop game first; it might work. Better back up the desktop game first, though.

Still, why not copy over the entire game/league, as I said?
