Fielding Career Totals

For the love of all that is good and grand in the universe, can this finally be added? It seems so cotton picking simple. And I (and I'm sure others) have been campaigning for it for 4 or 5 versions now, possibly longer.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.

Just something that looks sorta like this:

It's not the answer your looking for but StatsLab does track this.

Maybe the reason it's not currently done is screen size. for a player with a long career, he could have played a million different positions. I'm not saying that's a good reason - just wondering.

See screenshot for just a 4 position player. Now imagine one with 6 or 7 positions per year.

now if only Statslab was easy to install and use, or that some of the reports were included by default in OOTP.
I wouldn't even know where to start to get statslab working, would love to have it's features but don't even know where to start

Yeh, unfortunately it really requires an online sever (at least I have never had any luck setting up locally). I pay $2/month for a hosting site to use it but I really enjoy being able to go throuigh the league's history when I am bored and traveling. Obviously that doesn't make sense for everyone. If you are willing to make that money commitment, actually getting it to work isn't too bad. FMontoya even made a step by step video to do it. For me, it adds a lot of enjoyment to the OOTP experience.

The game already does that though, in-game under career fielding stats, it just doesn't tabulate at the bottom. I don't think the max of 10 extra lines at the bottom (if you take into effect DH), would make that big of a difference.

Good luck with that. Several of us have been campaigning for career contract totals for a long time too. It seems only certain people/ideas are ever addressed. I agree that OOTP really does not log a lot of the history I want to see and when it does log some of it, it is in a totally useless way that makes it a pain in the butt to do quick comparisons of any kind. Who wants to sit and calculate this stuff by wading through player logs.

Most of this stuff has been brought up repeatedly for several versions and just constantly gets ignored.

Career salary stats are not tracked, and it would take a bit of work to add it. However, with the new split up history you will find contract data much easier than before.
