The only time you dont mind getting screwed over for an award...
24 Year Old Dan Crews of the Yankees has a great season on an otherwise mediocre team.
Talent and Money out the ying yang but injuries decimated their againg all star lineup Crews goes 17-6 3.16 ERA 207K 1.26 WHIP. I think Strasburg got robbed 22-6 3.28 271K 1.05 WHIP but heres why i dont mind. Crews tore his labrum on his last start of the year and it ended up being career ending. And wins the Cy Young (as chosen by the AI) So he gets drafted 66th overall by the Yankees, Plays in the MLB, Makes 2 million in his career and wins a Cy Young award and out of baseball by 24 crazy. if this happened in RL i would hope he would win that time too |

there was a thread debating if that should be a CEI, most felt that it shouldn't as at that age they would try to attempt a comeback at least a few times over a few years before actully retireing even more so after that type of season. I'd edit his ratings to affect his inury but i'd remove the CEI as more then likely they would attempt to rehab that

Yeah, I've never allowed a CEI unless it was an old player (mid-30's). I hand out big hits to actual ratings, smaller hits to the appropriate potential ratings, and set the recovery time 500 days. |
