1912 AL Pitcher of the Year

This one might not been as easy as it looks. Lets keep the conversation civil.

Too close to call but I would probably go with Johnson. No particular reason why but his season looks a little better than Mathewson. BTW, which team had a better record? Washington or St Louis.

EDIT: NM, I found the team standings in you Dynasty thread. St Louis wins the pennant so I guess the Pitcher Award goes to Johnson. This was also very close as their was only 1 game separating the 1st place and 2nd place teams.

The Big Train over the Big Six -- for reasons that shall remain forever shrouded in mystery.

Johnson. 15 point difference in ERA+ is significant. Also, the strikeouts are sexy.

I like these better when you just have the stats and no names.

Big Train hands down, this isn't a competition like 1911 was. Johnson has 211 K a .257 OPPAVG. the other 2 both are at .273 and .310 and have high ERA's especially for the dead ball era.

I think i screwed somethings up but the preview of 1913 looks to be really dead.
