Draft pick compensation if player signed to minors?
This cropped up in my solo league and I'm not sure if it's working as intended. I let a Type B player go to free agency. He ended up not being picked up in the offseason by any team. In spring training, he was finally signed to a minor league contract by another team. I haven't gotten a message saying I will receive compensation. Is this normal? Do players have to get major league contracts to result in compensation? In the same offseason, I had another Type B free agent that was signed to a major league contract and in that case I did get a message informing me that I would be compensated.
