Lineup Section (Utility 2)

Just need some clarity on Utility 2 and what its for. The rest I understand regarding Utility 1. Is "Utility 2" suppose to be your backups to your backups?

I usually set my Depth and my backups with "Utility 1" and never use Utility 2, but I like to learn more about it.
