Why do I not see overall and potential ratings?

I'm not new to the game, but thought this question belongs in this section.

I am playing as a commissioner who is currently unemployed. I am in commissioner mode.

I can only see "-" instead of overall and potential ratings for players. I have double checked my game settings which has overall ratings at 20-80. I have tried to "Act as" some teams, but still do not see any ratings.

I do have scouting on, but thought when I acted as teams I could use their scout's ratings.

I thought maybe I needed to wait till January 1 of the next year to get ratings determined, but it didn't happen.

Can anyone help me to see the overall and potential ratings?

Once you will turn scouting off you will see the true ratings. That's what I do when I am playing as commissioner.

It's because you aren't currently playing as a team, so you're using OSA's ratings, which doesn't give you overall and potential.

Have you acted as a team? If so, and this is still the problem, perhaps you haven't changed the ratings you are using. Check the top right corner of the Transaction Screen, where it should say something like Scouting- OSA. It should give you the option to change from OSA to that team's scout, if you are acting as that team.

Then again, it's possible that acting as a team doesn't grant you access to a team's scout, although I can't see why.

Thanks guys! Turning off scouting worked.

Acting as a team and then selecting the scout from that team gave some results, but the overall ratings were 20 for every player instead of what I'd expect; and the other ratings were all blank. Don't know why that was, but it was a good suggestion to try.
