Uploading Reports

For an online league that I've just started, it seems as though I've found a glitch with report uploading. On the first create/upload reports screen, OOTP12 will create the reports I've selected just fine and it shows the progress bar doing this. After this is done and the game transitions to the upload reports screen, after I select upload reports one by one, I receive no indication of what the game is actually doing. It seems as though the game is uploading the reports because it becomes laggy and I cannot exit from this screen or push any other buttons, but there is no progress bar. Do I just have to wait this out? Does anyone have some guidance on how long this normally takes? Or should I be receiving a progress bar? I've have to end-task the game after waiting 15-20 minutes in the past. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Uploading reports one by one takes forever. Its much easier to upload an archive, then go to your webspace and explode it online.

if ur are using the the upload method upload to mysql database , it does freeze for a bit and you just have to wait it out and it will continue and it will finish and then a window on ur browser will open and the reports will unload and everything

I've uploaded the tar.gz file and have confirmed that is there through my ftp program, but how do I unzip it now that it is online? I can find no option to do this on my ftp program.

ASB Extractor
Thanks so much for the help. It looks like I have hit another impasse though. I have uploaded the three files from the allsimbaseball extractor along with the reports.tar.gz file to the same directory. When I run the allsimbaseballextractor.php file, however, it does say access granted, but I see no files being listed below as being extracted. When I check the directory, nothing has been unpacked. I have entered in the correct username and password that I setup in the setup.php file. Could there be a server side setting on my ftp site that I need to change? Thanks again for your assistance.

If you have cpanel with your webhosting, go to your cpanel (www.yoururl.com/cpanel) and browse to the zip file.

Click it and then select 'extract' at the top of the screen.

as well as have the right user name and pass and it should work

Well I finally have found a way to unpack the archives manually through godaddy's backend interface. So this is an option now.

I also did try to setup a MySQL server and have followed everything exactly as described in Fidel's youtube videos, but I get an authentication error. Does anyone know what version the SQL server needs to be in order to work properly with OOTP12? Thanks again.

For reference, this is the specific error I am getting:

Database Connect Error: 1251 : Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client

I have tried MySQL versions 4.1 and 5.0 and both receive this same error. Any help would be appreciated.
