Unrealistically high ERA/WHIP numbers in minor leagues
Been playing a new fictional league for a few seasons and I have noticed a disturbing trend in which pretty much every pitcher in every level of the minors is getting shelled. 7-10 ERA, WHIP numbers 2.2 and higher. I could see this being the case with some pitchers but even the top prospects from every one of my amateur drafts are getting their butts handed to them. This is mostly a problem at the Rookie and A ball levels. It seems pretty obvious this is a direct relation to the pitchers control stats. While their potential control is right in line with where I want it to be, their actual rating is starting ridiculiously low, in pretty much every case under "20" (when looking at the rating in the player editor) and most under "10". Pitchers with ratings in the high 30s and 40s tend to fair much better but its rare for a prospect to be created at this level. Now the stuff and movement ratings my actually be starting a bit too high 70s-80s in alot of cases.
So my question is how can I fix this issue? Either so that my new pitchers start with a higher actual control rating while not affecting the potential ratings across the board or in setting up the game to allow these players a chance to perform and develop.
