Historical name and ethnicity accuracy
Hey all ...
Not really a noob, per say, but have been playing OOTP so infrequently over the last few years that it is kinda like starting over. Anyway, I'm the guy who likes to play a fictional league beginning right after WWII, and thus is looking to begin with historical names and ethnicities. I had a way to do it (and to evolve them over time) in older versions, but now that some files are XML, I'm, well ... as I said, learning from scratch. Very simply, I want to build a fictional start-up league beginning in 1946 with era appropriate names and an all caucasian population. As I get into nearer to the 50s I want to modify the ethnicities to incorporate more African American players (at graduating increases), and eventually players of all traditional "baseball ethnicities". I haven't yet played around with the files in OOTP12 other than to notice nations.txt is replaced with the xml file. Any thoughts on how to accomplish this goal? Thanks, cbbl |

It used to be easy -- just make some changes in the ethnicities file. Now it's ... complicated.
