Champions League setting up second round

I am doing a Champions League involving all pennant winners in the modern era (You can read about it in the Dynasty forum). What I am doing is playing an initial round robin with the top teams advancing to a second round and so on. What I would like to do is to feed the second round league with the winning teams from the first round league, thus maintaining their stats from the first round. However, I see no way of doing this. The only way is to recreate the winning teams once again from the database and of course, they will not be able to carry over their stats from the first round. Am I SOL, or is there a way to feed a new league with teams from another league that I am not seeing.
