State names all fouled up, major problem in my leauge

Imported v11 league with typical MLB setup. State names are fouled up for many clubs. Here are the ones I have found

Illinois = Leova ( so you get Chicago, Leova when you search city name, no option for Chicago, Illinois. This applies to all of the cities\states in my list)

Tennessee = Basarbbeasca
Florida = Cimislia
Idaho = Cantemir
Ohio = Camenca
Montana = Ruyigi
Colorado = Stefan Voda
Oklahoma = Cantemir
North Carolina = Rezina
Michigan = Riscani with a ^ over the i
New Mexico = Monte Carlo
Missouri = Ulcanbataar
Wisconsin = Grigoriopol
Texas = Briceni
Ontario = Chumphon
Wash DC = imported as Washington Criuleni

Had a city named Norfolk come in as Norfolk, Fontvielle. Not sure what the state should be except Nebraska and Mass. both show in the list of possible names.

With the new\improved\reworked world database is this an import issue?

Are others seeing it?

In my imported OOTP11 leagues, state names are all kosher.

Did you perhaps use a custom file in OOTP11 or just the standard one?

In my OOTP leagues, I used a custom Nations.txt, but did not alter cities or states, only the baseball level and everything looks ok.

Thanks for the reply. No I haven't used any custom files related to city selection or weather.

Maybe a corrupt file in my d'load? I may try an uninstall and reinstall with a new setup file. It's at least nice to know it is only with my game, at least I have a place to start looking. Thanks again.

During beta I had the exact same problem with an imported league but Markus couldn't reproduce it so I deleted the league from OOTP 12 and did the import again and it came through fine. It was a glitch in the import as best we could tell.

I have the exact same issue. Some of the state names for the US have been replaced by states from Burkina Faso I believe. I fixed it by deleting the league and reimporting it. I haven't checked to see if this issue affects anywhere else, but I will shortly.

Thanks for the info. I'll give you a little more information since I am now almost certifiably crazy

I had closed down OOTP and then restarted it. I don't know why but I thought who knows sometimes a reboot works wonders. I went to my Cubs and they were listed as Chicago, Ill. Hooray! Nats were now from Wash DC. Well what do you know! My ML Boise team was back in Idaho. Yeah baby.

Trouble was that the states that were correct before rebooting were now wrong. So Pittsburgh was not from Penn. but some other world location. In other words the reboot fixed some teams and broke others.

I'll try reimporting than before doing a reinstall.

Yeah, when I first saw it I checked each clubs minor league teams and found many of them wrong, hence the big list that included non-MLB states. Going to try the re-import now.

Just to update. Re-importing did fix the issue.
