Best/Quickest way to sim

I'm just setting up a new fictional league for the first time and I'm already to go but I want to sim from 1912 to 1982 to create a history.

Is there a quick to sim that many years? Right now I am just looking at scores/schedule and sim to end of each year.

Cool. You may also want to disable baseball cards (if you want) and not schedule spring training (if you want). Also look under general setup and have it only save the logs etc you want and the almanac if you want. These are some small ways to speed it up by having it stop less.
