Free Agents (during season): Modify offer?

There's something really odd about the way the game goes about Free Agents during the season.

I'm trying to sign two different free agents to bolster a team that's doing rather crappy, and both free agents wanted minor league contracts, which I agreed to. I hit submit offer, and they said "Your offer is the best I've received so far. Expect to hear from me if I decide to sign or if another team puts a better offer on the table."

Then a minute later, I checked the offer screen via the link on my front page (pending offers). "Liked offer but better offer was received."

What gives? I have two conflicting pieces of information, and there's no way to modify my offer for a better one, unlike in off-season free agency.

That "Liked offer but better offer was received." is a cosmetic bug. The better offer is actually your offer... will be fixed.

Ah, thanks.

Well... both people I tendered contracts to signed with other teams... and I received no notification at all.

I only noticed it when there wasn't any lightbulb and text about pending offers, so I went hunting via player search and came up with that.

Something's wrong when you tender contracts, they state they liked your offer the best, and then sign with another team... and you aren't notified of the move. :\ It's not... logical.

Ummm. That shouldn't happen. I'll look into it.

OK, found the bug... sometimes players who only got offered minor league deals did not communicate with you when they signed for another team. Fixed it
