Two and a half hours to download the game and now I can't register the thing.

Check to make sure there are no spaces at the start or end of your reg key when you enter it. That is the most common mistake.

Also if you copy/paste make sure there is no leading or trailing space.

I also press delete when the cursor is at the end of the key.

That's kind of destructive. You post "I cannot license" and then you go away. If you want immediate tech support you could please add some information. What do you try to do? What happens? Error messages? PC or Windows? Come on, people

I downloaded the game and had it licensed in well under ten minutes on a wireless connection. Maybe you have ISP/conectivity issues

I copy and paste the license key from my receipt, click OK and then the program says it cannot license the program, try later. And it is not destructive, it is frustration!

Did you check for spaces at the start or end of the reg key when you pasted it?

Servers are probably busy now, there is another thread with several people saying the same thing. I got lucky, activated first time. Keep trying. The other thread also suggests this:
