Need help with setting line ups...

Hello everyone, I am rather new to the game and really enjoying it. I am playing a league which I am the GM of one of the teams (Giants). Every now and then, I want to rearrange the line up depth chart of the Giants. But after I get it all set (the way I want it), after a game it changes back to the original settings. How can I recommend to the computer manager what I want without being the manager? Thanks

Are you talking about the lineups, or the depth charts? Although they are found on the same pages, they perform separate functions.

If you mean the lineups, the first thing I would check is whether you have Seven Day Lineups set. If you do, then the AI will revert to those as soon as you finish the game after you set the new lineup (or finish the day, if the next day is a rest day).

The next thing I would check is whether you have set yourself to be in control of lineups and depth charts. You should be able to find that by going to Manager Home>Manager Options>right hand column>Team Control Settings.

You can't. But you can choose which aspects of decision making you want to control. If you want to control lineups/depth charts, then you have to be in control, not the AI. If the AI is given control, it will do what it wants to do. That's just the way it works.

Good catch, Steve. I missed that entirely.

Thank you gentlemen... The AI is playing my young backup CF as my starting SS (his defensive rating at SS is a 2) I will try something else... Maybe I can delete his rating as SS to stop this...

You could control the lineup/depth charts yourself, but fill the depth charts then ask the AI to set up the lineup using that depth chart (Action -> ask manager to set up lineup....). You would still need to make changes yourself when guys are hurt though.
