Around 100 Pass Balls Each Game!

I really like this game...up until the last dozen games or so. Now things just aren't working right and it isn't fun anymore.

I have the Reds and I am using the Cooperstown league. Now, Johnny Bench, and other catchers from the other teams cannot catch a thrown ball to them! Bench averages between 50-70 pass balls and the opposition's catchers are no better. Now if a person reaches base they will come around and score simply from all the passed balls!

I spent the last hour clicking on everything I could click on to see if something was askew in the Options, etc. I could find nothing.

I am almost to the point of picking up my APBA board game over this.

Anyone at all have any suggestions?

I am using OOTP 11 on a Mac.

what r bench's ratings and also isnt there a passed ball pct or something in the stats. what do those say?

I did not see a Passed Ball rating.

Johnny Bench's ratings (he is 22 in the game)

Catcher ability 170 (out of 1-250)
Catcher arm 180 (out of 1-250)

He has 325 passed balls in 60 games.

Check the modifier for your league, the problem is surely there.

Thank you for your help! It was the problem. I reset back to Default. The numbers were all wild!

This game is very rich in detail, you just have to know where to look for some things!

That wouldn't have gotten him to Cooperstown

But this game is amazing - you can change so many settings, it's incedible ... and it's unbelievably that there are countless guys here in this forum who seem to have checked out every detail the game has to offer
