Foreigner percentage issue

I am trying to set up a new league with players from only four countries. I have done the changes in the nations file, etc but the problem I am having is that the players are not being distributed even close to evenly between all four countries. They all have excellent baseball programs, and I have the foreigner percentage set to 75, which I thought would mean it would be roughly even between the host nation and the others. Instead, the host nation has far fewer players available - 30ish pages of players for an inaugural draft for the other countries, only 7-8 for the host. What do I need to change to get this right?

75% foreigners - looks like you got what you asked for to me. 30 pages/3 = 10 for each foreign country, 8 for the home country is quite within the realm of randomness. You can't expect the percentages to be exactly 25% for each country every season........

I didn't express it right - I am seeing 30 or more pages of players for EACH other county. Obviously the numberw will not match up exactly each time but these are way off, and even when I refilled the league through game setup I got the same result.

The way you have it set up will get you 25% for the "home/host" country, and 75% for "non home/host" countries. The 75% will be spread out among the 3 "foreign" countries, so you will always have more of those than the "home" country.

Currently here is what I am seeing:

Home Nation - 130 players
Nation #2 - 593 players
Nation #3 - 595 players
Nation #4 - 618 players

If my math is right that is around 6-7% for the home country. That's not even close, and I am seeing the same thing after multiple player wipes.

Maybe try adjusting your percentages incrementally until you get close to the numbers you like.

I tried it but it didn't seem to help, in fact it got worse. I think the problem, after some experiments, is not the percentage, but something wrong with the host country. I changed the host country and redid the league and it didn't change the results, the same country that was short was still short.

sounds like the error could be coming from the nations file then, perhaps all the nations are not really set at "excellent"?

If you set the league up in Country A and have teams based in all four countries, you'll get a nice mix of players only from those four countries based on the country of origin of each team within the league without any edits to the nations file.

I just did it with the percentage of foreigners set at '0'.

Good idea - I will check it when I get home and see if I can figure it out.
