Pitcher hits?
Haven't played too much, but it seems when I actually play the games:
1. its hard to score runs 2. the opposing pitcher hits very well 3. my pitcher hits better than they should 4. it's very hard to be aggressive and take the extra bag when the option is given Is this normal? Any in game tips? |

1-3, it's probably pure sample size. IME, pitchers hit pretty much exactly like they should.
As for #4, yeah, I'm a little gunshy on the option when it's given too. If you think the run-scoring environment is too low, take a look at the league totals just by going to "History" and looking at the current year ERA/League AVG. Are they realistic? Are they what you're looking for? If it's only 15-20 games through, sample size might throw it off a bit. |

The ball is very deep. Outfielder X has a very poor arm, quite possibly armless. Do you want Speedy McSpeedmerchant to try for home?
<yes> Here's the throw from X. The relay from Y! OUT at the plate! ![]() I almost never take the extra base when offered. At least now we have the option. In previous editions you just sat there and watched as player after player got thrown out. |
